Senior Solutions Consultant

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to serve as a key technical member of our sales team selling our state-of-the-art learning management system (LMS) software to public and private sector organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability supporting SaaS technology sales processes, including partnering with account executives, engaging with prospects, understanding their learning management challenges, demonstrating how our LMS can help drive their outcomes, writing technical proposals, performing product demonstrations, and working with technology partners.

This is a remote home-based position with less than 10% travel expected.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior technical sales team member supporting all sales related processes
  • Partner with account executives to grow our business through engaging prospective customers
  • Meet directly with prospects to map our LMS product to their teaching and learning challenges
  • Collaboratively work with Meridian Product Management and Marketing teams regarding prospect and technology partner feedback, competitor activities, and industry trends
  • Review prospect solicitations, analyze requirements and alignment with Meridian’s capabilities, participate in bid/no-bid reviews, and write technical responses
  • Work with our IT, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other Meridian teams
  • Support our Proposal Manager ensuring our proposal management software solution is maintained current
  • Engage our technology partners on joint opportunities and product integration discussions
  • Conduct virtual and in-person presentations and product demonstrations
  • Track sales opportunity related activities in Salesforce or other CRM

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years SaaS pre-sales support experience to public and private sector customers
  • Experience in the eLearning industry working with a learning management system (LMS)
  • Ability to demonstrate solutions as they relate to a prospect's requirements
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and business drivers
  • Significant experience analyzing RFPs, determine fit/gap, solution, cost estimates and project schedules
  • Ability to manage sandbox configurations and demonstration environments (preferably with SQL experience)
  • Ability to work closely with clients to analyze their needs and define requirements
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills, including a fluency in English
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive while working remotely and independently
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • A team-orientated working style
  • Self-disciplined and able to work in a high paced environment
  • Proficiency with core MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a small company environment
  • Working knowledge of the Responsive/RFPIO response management solution
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

The compensation for this position is $140,000 to $165,000 per year depending and a commission plan, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, 7 paid holidays and flexible paid time off.
